The Strategic Communications Cluster of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC), led by the Strategic Communications Office of the National Security Council and the Presidential Communications Office, conducted the Major Island Summit Planning Workshop – Visayas Leg on 18 June 2026 in Cebu City.
This workshop brought together representatives from member government agencies and the Regional Task Force–StratCom Cluster to strengthen the NTF-ELCAC Communication Plan in support of the National Action Plan for Unity, Peace, and Development (NAP-UPD).
Anchored on President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s whole-of-nation approach to ending local communist armed conflict, this activity sought to harmonize regional communication efforts, counter disinformation, prevent recruitment into terrorist groups, and promote lasting peace, security, and development in communities across the Visayas.
