The West Philippine Sea Mural Festival 2026 takes center stage at the National Library of the Philippines with the unveiling
of the Top 100 national mural finalists
Carrying the theme “Kulayan. Karagatan. Kalayaan.”, this nationwide public art movement transforms Filipino creativity into a powerful call
to honor and protect our seas.
The open competition awards ₱1,000,000 to the grand prize winner, with distinguished guests Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Rear Admiral Jay Tarriela, Justice Antonio Carpio, Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Usec. Claire Castro, and Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Director General Katherine De Castro gracing the event.
Festival Director AG Saño also announced a road show at the National Museum of the Philippines, where every submitted mural will be showcased—celebrating the artistry, patriotism, and collective voice of Filipino artists
